Rarely seen things

The ponytail that stayed in for more than seconds!
Libby is a HAM in front of the camera-it reminds me of her daddy and her pappy
Kisses for mommy- I love when she does this.

Libby with a ponytail and a picture of Libby and Mommy. They are rarely seen because Libby HATES to have her hair in a ponytail. She rips out the band before we can even twist it all the way around. Also since I am home with her, I am often the photographer. And when Corey is home I tend to stay looking not so camera friendly. On this particular day though I was going out to lunch with my mom and sister, Kerri. So I actually got dressed in something other than sweats and blew my hair dry. It's funny because I swore that I would always keep myself looking nice with makeup and hair etc. But having a child and being pregnant makes you tired and I am proud to own 2 sweat suits that are worn at least once a week. But it is also a wonderful day when I get ready and look nice. It's funny though, I dress Libby in sweats too-I figure she'd like to be comfy too most days. Like mom like daughter right?

What's going on around the Bozic's

Well, we've kept ourselves busy the last few weeks. We made a trip to Wheeling to spend time with our friends Liz and Ben and her parents and extended family as well. Libby did great for being in a different place.

I also had a doctor's appointment. I got to hear the heartbeat, but no ultrasound this time. Everything seems fine-except that my "morning" sickness is lingering and I'm certainly ready for that to go away. Our next appointment is in February and we will get to find out what we're having (if this baby cooperates).

Libby's therapy is going great. She continues to amaze us and her therapists. She can now walk really fast through her parallel bars and around her toys. She can also walk while only holding one of our hands or while pushing her push toy. All of these things have led Heather (her PT) to request a walker for her. We are waiting for approval from the state, and that takes awhile. The therapy tuckers Libby out though-as you can see in the picture! The braces are heavy and she's moving all the time. Keep praying that she continues to make big strides!

Also keep my grandma in your prayers. She had a pretty nasty fall last week that landed her in the hospital. She broke her arm and cracked her pelvis. They moved her to Health South yesterday, but she's still in a lot of pain. Thanks!

18 months brings new contraptions (Thank you Pappy!)

Libby turns 18 months old today. And I have to admit it has flown. This milestone was met with another piece of equipment for her therapy. This time they are parallel bars and her pappy made them (Corey's dad). They are WONDERFUL! He made them in no time flat (I called to give the go ahead on Tuesday around 6, and they were dropped off at our house Thursday around 4).

In or out of her braces, Libby is using these bars for support to walk. And she's fast! I'm continually amazed by her and her strength and determination. Every new day brings new things that she is doing! Thank you Pappy for making this great present for Libby!!

Great things in 2008!

2008 has already proved to be a good year. The Mountaineers won an outstanding game against OU, I am almost not sick anymore and Libby stood all by herself. Her braces came in on Monday, and on Thursday she is balancing well without holding on. They are heavy and she's learning to walk with them, but her standing on her own was a great gift this year. Luckily I could capture it on film!! Please continue to pray for Libby-she wants to walk and we are doing all we can to get her going! She's a determined little kid. YEAH!!
