New pictures

I had some pictures that I took of Libby's first spaghetti experience and some more from her party that I wanted to share, so this is a bit of a hodge-podge, but enjoy.
Kerri got Libby a frame that says "Aunt-like mom only cooler", so this picture will be in it soon.
I thought this was a good picture of our spread. It was a lot of fun

We've had a fun week-on Wednesday, Libby, Corey and I visited the NICU to take the nurses some goodies. It was really fun to have them see Libby and how far she has come since her NICU days. We're getting ready to have another birthday party today-this one with Elliott! So look for those pictures to follow!

Here is the birthday girl looking adorable as usual. What a CUTIE!

Libby celebrates her first birthday tomorrow, but we had one of her parties on Sunday. Both sides of the family came in to celebrate the miracle baby turning one! It was so much fun and she was so good. There wasn't a major theme (just polka dots like always), but there was good food and lots of laughing. Last year we were so glad to have a healthy albeit small baby, and now it is so wonderful to see how she has grown. Enjoy the pictures!!

This is Libby pre-cake. She actually didn't get too messy.
Libby with her cake! She was reluctant to eat it at first, but after that first bite...

She wasn't so reluctant anymore!

Libby in the midst of presents.
Libby opening one of her many presents. She was enthralled with the paper for about 2 seconds and then played with the ribbon while I opened the rest.

Claire got Libby the cutest party hat and Libby ate it-that's her way of saying she likes it!

Libby waving "Hi"-or is she saying "No more pictures" ? I love that she is surrounded by tissue paper. She received SO many awesome presents.

The party spread was lovely. I hope Libby likes polka dots as much as I do!

Libby eating her cantaloupe. She's a lover of all things fruit. Watermelon being a particular favorite.

Standing Small

Libby standing all on her own. Her legs still aren't straight, but she is determined.
Her reward for standing was getting to play with the lens cap to the camera. Whatever makes 'em happy!

Libby can stand up all on her own. She still needs help positioning her feet, and she only stays for a minute or less, but she is doing it. We had a doctor's appointment last week and she weighs 14.5 pounds. She is growing! And now she eats real food-which means I have to really cook!

Also, our friends in Tennessee (the Taylors) had their little one a little early. Ainsley Reese was born July 1 at 4 pounds 13 ounces. She is doing well, and hopefully will go home soon. Their blog is linked on the right so go see really cute pics.

Finally, as we near Libby's first birthday, I hope all of you who see this still know that she wouldn't be here without your prayers.

What a wedding

This past week has been a doozy for the Bozics. My sister Kerri got married on Saturday and I was the matron of honor. It was SO beautiful, but so tiring! Libby was a trooper though. She stayed with Rick and Becky on Friday night-so that Corey and I could go to the rehearsal and everything without worrying about her bedtime etc. And then on Saturday, she came to the wedding with the Bozics and stayed long enough for pictures. Then we shipped her off with Chris and Nancy so that we could stay at the reception. [which by the way, Corey's parents tied for the longest marriage!]
The wedding was beautiful-Kerri was stunning (pictures of her to come). There were hiccups here and there, but in the end, Kerri and Will are married and on their way to Florida for some much needed rest. Corey and I had a great time seeing the family and showing Libby off. She was so sweet in her dress!
Claire is so helpful at all our functions. She was a big help with Libby this week-distracting her while I tied ALOT of ribbon and playing with her when everyone else was finalizing the details. She's going to be a great big sister to Annie or Charlotte or Emma (or whatever Casey finally decides to name her baby girl!)

Summersville: Libby's first "camping" experience

Libby, Corey and I went to Summersville Friday night and stayed all day Saturday. We stayed in Corey's Aunt and Uncle's camper (I love camping when it involves AC and a bed). We had such a great time. I loved going out on the Sea-Do with Corey especially when we went first thing in the morning. Summersville is just BEAUTIFUL. But my favorite part by far was taking Libby to the little beach and letting her get in the water. She loved it. She loved the sand and the water, but mostly the other kids. She watched and watched. It was great.

B.B. and Phoebe

Libby has two blankets-B.B. (very original name for Bear Blanket) and Phoebe (her frog blanket). I wanted to capture her with her blankets because they are so important to her. She will chew the corners of those blankets to go to sleep-it's very difficult to keep them from smelling! But she loves them and I want to remember that.

Fun Times with Family

On Monday, Corey and I along with Rick (Corey's Dad) headed up to Cedar Point. Despite the rain, we got to ride some fun coasters and enjoy a mini vacation. While we were up there, Libby was spending the day with her Meme and her cousin Aubree and uncle Chris. The girls had a great time and Becky captured some photos that I thought I would share!

Already a Bookworm

I love pictures of babies reading. I know that Libby is not really reading, but she sure does look cute here. She loves books (mainly to chew) -lately she has been kneeling a lot and looking at books on her little "tables" (they are actually boxes wrapped in baby blankets). She kneels and turns the pages. It entertains her for a little while at least!

Kerri's bridal shower

What a weekend. We threw Kerri a bridal shower on Saturday, and it was so fun-a little hot, but fun. Libby got to play with Ethan-she loves other babies-and Kerri got all kinds of neat stuff! Sunday, I threw a baby shower for Danielle and it went well too. A weekend full of showers is somewhat exhausting, but we got to recover on Monday-Libby literally fell asleep in her high chair while I was feeding her dinner. She went to bed at 6:30!

The world of mobility

Libby is on the move-that is great news for everyone, except maybe our cat, Animal. (I think he liked her better when she just laid there.) Libby also has 2 teeth now-the bottom front ones. She is progressing so fast now, it is hard to keep up.

We had a meeting last night with her physical and occupational therapists, as well as her service coordinator with Birth-to-Three (A GREAT program for kids like Libby). They are all so excited to see her progress. She is moving leaps and bounds ahead of what we thought she could. She's even trying to stand-despite the fact that her legs are not quite straight.

A year ago, I was unsure of how all of this would turn out, but looking back over my journals, I find so many reassurances that God was moving for us. Oswald Chambers wrote "Remain true at all costs to what God is doing with you and don't ask why He is doing it." It's hard not to question, but we are pressing on everyday and seeing so many miracles!

Our first family vacation

We just got home from our first family vacation to Knoxville, TN. Corey and I had been eagerly awaiting the end of finals so that we could leave town and spend time with our great friends, Scott and Danielle Taylor. Despite my excitement, I was DREADING the 6.5 hour drive that had to get us there. Praise God, Libby slept most of the time. We got there without any major meltdowns and the vacation got off to a great start. We had a wonderful time with Scott and Danie. They got to practice parenthood-they are expecting in August-and we got out of Morgantown. Corey and I haven't been on a real vacation in over a year because of my many pregnancy woes. On Mother's Day, I received a beautiful basket of bath fizzers and lotions-Libby knows how her mommy likes her baths. I also received a bouquet of flowers at church because I had a baby in the last year. We had a really wonderful time and I am so glad that we went. But I am also glad to be home.
This is Scott and Corey waiting to go to church!

Danielle and I finally get Libby to stop grabbing earrings long enough to take a picture. Libby is really excited about it.
This is Scott making Libby laugh. She is patting him-she likes to pat everything! A born drummer I guess.

It all happens so fast

On Friday, Libby could not crawl. On Saturday, Libby could crawl. She is not fast or graceful, but she is moving in the forward direction. She seems exhausted after just a few feet (much like when I exercise), but she is getting better everyday. It was Corey's Aunt Missy who first motivated Libby to crawl. Over the weekend, we celebrated Corey's Mamaw's and niece's birthdays. It was so fun, and the whole family was around! Missy was playing with a book that she got Libby and she lurched toward it. After that, Libby realized that she could in fact go forward.I think this photo is hilarious. The cousins are already fighting for Pappy's attention.

Here is the mob celebrating Mamaw (in the middle) and Aubree (baby on the left). Aubree turns 1 on cinco dimio.
Libby is being very studious with her Aunt Nancy.
